The surgical suture material contains monofilament needle-thread combinations made of nylon.
MICROMED needles are characterized by precisely ground micro tips that create the smallest puncture channels and minimize the penetration force, resulting in the lowest wound trauma.
Nylon is a monofilament, non-absorbable surgical suture material made from polyamide 6.0 and 6.6. Due to its uniformly smooth surface, the nylon suture material simply glides through the fabric. The nylon seam material is particularly characterized by its very good knotting properties and high tensile strength.
The round needle pierces all types of soft tissue without cutting it. The slim needle tip creates a very small puncture channel. This tip geometry ensures minimal damage to the tissue and thus supports rapid healing.
